Hi chay
I haven't given ragi for my daughter yet coz of her eczema. But I have been giving ragi to my son eversince he was 6 months. He is no 2 yr and 2 months. Still has it, but is now kind of getting bored.

If you ar in India or if some one is coimg u get ragi pwdr there called ragi vita or some thing. u just have to mix it with water, add sugar if u want (otherwise tastes very weird) boil on medium heat constantly stirring till it becomes syrupy. remove from heat as it gets thick in minutes. if it get s thick u can dilute with some boiled water or expressed breast milk. u can then give it in bottle. In the usa, the ragi pwdr we get is not good has a lot of the ragi seed skin in it. But u can get ragi seeds in indian store. soak it overnight and then grind in mixer with some water. strain it 3-4 times and boil same as above. u can make it thick and can give like cereal too.

hi pri

usually we use to boil thuar dal with 2 drops of castor oil(for faster cooking) in it and a pinch turmeric(i do so).

now for baby, im not going to add oil instead soak dal prior to boil for 2to3hrs so that with 2 whistles it will boil very nicely. dont add turmeric. just stri once and take the above water alone. as days goes we can start giving thick water and finally we can end up will dal directly to ou baby.

dont add salt, we should not give salt and sugar in this age.

tkaecare

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
