We have a middle-class family consisting of my wife (aged 30 yrs.), my kid daughter (aged 4 yrs.) and myself (aged 30 yrs.). I am working in a job which requires travelling and transfers every 4 years. My wife is working part-time as a teacher. My daughter goes to playway school and later to a neighbourhood creche.Our monthly household income and savings are rs.25,000/- and rs.5,000/-, respectively.

Should we go in for a second child? Will it help in better psychological and social development of our existing child? are two kids better than one.

although we have nothing against the girl child and give very good grooming to our existing girl child, we boht hope and wish for a boy child to make the family complete as a unit... is this wish selfish or bad?

Any help??? Lakshmi replied. Wishing for a boy child is not bad at all. But also think the other ways too. What if you have a girl child again? with the income you are stating, managing 2 kids, sponsoring their education is a bit difficult. But having 2 kids is always a wise option from my point of view. If the kid is alone, the kid may not have an open mind. With 2 kids, they learn to share and help others keshav replied. Wishing for a boy child is not bad at all. In which city you live?
