Thinking of names..me and my hubby cant seem to agree on any !! Anyone got any good suggestions on some good sites for names? . And nice to involve the older kids in picking up names ...right Jyotsna...My lil toddler has already declared that ' Mama's got Baby Timmy in her stomach' !! ..heheh..

And know what folks....I'm feeling a lil down and blue cos I threw up twice yesterday !! Any of you expereincing this yet ? I guess its the saturday morning syndrome...since it happens tome on saturdays...which happens to be our first working day here in the Gulf !!!

Come Tuesday and I'll be starting My lamaze classes too.... Am really looking forward to them !

Till then...all of you take care and keep in touch

Keep smiling

Its been a while since I posted but I keep checking once in a way for the messages.I am doing okay with discomforts growing along with my belly. I am spending less hours sleeping and more hours worrying about the impending labor. To top it all I have been to my first lamaze class couple of days back and I am more scared now than ever. My instructor showed a tape on child birth I really got too scared seeing labor and delivery that way.
My mother is being a great help and support, constantly telling me I can take it as the joy of seeing my baby will keep me focused.
I am going for by weekly appointments from next week onwards, the reality that I will be holding my baby is slowly dawning upon me.
Jyotsna, can you give me all the tips as to how you bonded with your daughter and how your initial days with your daughter have been, pressures and pains I mean. How are you doing now, last you had stomach virus, hope you are feeling fit now.
I don't see mekha much on this board, sakhi must be in India now.

Keep posting girls and take care.

Hey, it was a nice long post and it was really nice of you to post all the details.
Bonding and sleep hours after the baby comes are making me put thinking cap, after L& D of course!
My husband might not take a long break after the delivery, probably a week or so, since we are planning to go to India some time this year end.
Amma also says that I should sit in front of God and meditate, leave everything to lord God but I am really scared as the date is nearing.I know millions go thru' labor and delivery every day but it is still the first time for us.
Hey, thanks again you are a dear

hi and good to hear from you after ages.Im doing fine after the tummy virus and havent gained much weight at all just 2 kilos so far.Baby's doing fine and according to my doc,the lesser weight i gain, more the chances of a normal.
It is perfectly normal to be worried--i am too.One tends to think more of the pain rather than envisioning the baby in your arms. Its all a part of the process but just remember that a woman's body is made just the way it is intended for---for childbirth and as natural as possible.Do check with your gynaec as to what pain relief they provide in case you need it.
For me this is being treated as my 1st pregnancy in terms of labor etc as the last time i didnt have a normal delivery.
Re bonding,it happend with time. The only person the baby will be comfortable with initially will be you especially with your heartbeat.
Please follow your instincts.Old wives tales and advice will come aplenty, listen to it and follow what your instinct says.easier said i know as babies dont talk so how the hell are moms supposed to know what they want. You will know for sure.
Babies will feed all the time.I fed ananya on demand whenever she wanted it,no bottles and 1st 4 weeks were a little difficult at nights re sleeping. But once the baby is contented and full, and settles down to a routine, things work out fine.
Sleep or rest whenever the baby sleeps.Let the rest take a backseat for a while.I dont know if you follow the 40 days rule of not venturing out.
Is your husband taking a break too then that will be a great help.Husbands are great when it comes to lulling babies to sleep.I actually discovered that my husband could sing lullabies .
Dont worry too much and when the worries get too much, just bundle them up and leave/shift them to God--asking him to take care.i am no spiritualist but i do it all the time and it helps.
Becoming a mom adds a whole new dimension to your life.
take care ok and stay in touch

Hi --all of you,,,

Am new here...but would be happy to be a part of this group !!

As Jyotsna said,,its certainly getting more uncomfortable with each day..

I have a hyper active baby girl-2 /12 yrs old--and she insists on being carried sometimes...although i try and resist [and also explain as much as possible]that I cant carry her now...Any of you face any such problems...and if you do..how do u handle it ....

All of you--take care

till then
cheers
Nivea
