Hi everyone,

I've just stumbled upon this very informative site..

I'm due on oct 25 th...These days I'm a little concerned with the baby's movements though. I've herad that u should feel at least 10 movements in an hour !! I'm begining to worry as at work I dont feel the baby move as often ....

Does anyone have similar experiences and can help me with my doubts...

And yes...all the very best to everyone due in OCt !!

Nivea, welcome! I am Padmaja, married three years back, from Hyd India now in New Jersey, USA.
I am due on Oct 1st and I feel reduced movements as well. I asked my OBGYN and he says the baby will run out of room around this time,as long as you feel 10 movements every 4-6 hours that should be okay.
Movements around this time are like flutters and taps so don't worry.

hi,
im due around the same time which means currently the 7th month.As the pregnancy progresses into the 3rd trimester,your growing baby finds the space less.Am sure you would have noticed the actual kicking has stopped and the movements are more defined like wriggling or a gentle nudge rather than punches or somersaults.
Im a 2nd time mom and do get worried if i dont feel my baby move.Tickle around your bellybutton or where you feel he/she is and you will feel it for sure.
Dont get too worried about it

Hi jyotsna,

Thanks for replying...Its such a relief to hear from someone who knows what I'm talking about....

As you aptly said--the movements are more of the rolling & subtle nudges kind !!

And yes--I just had my routine ante natal check up today--I had to take an anti-D injection since my blood group is B -ve

And yes Jyotsna--This is my 2 nd baby too...But guess what , I still feel my older daughter was much more active around the same time...could be that each baby is diferent right...;)

I delivered a beautiful baby girl on 23rd November
at around 2 a.m. She weighed at 8lb 13oz & is 21\"; tall. It was a normal delivery, the mom & the baby are doing fine. We named her \";Shreya\";.
