Hi, iam from sep board. I had my 21st week scan yday and was suspected that my baby mite have Bilateral Hydronephrosis...When asked my dr said that some amount of Urine is found in the baby´ s Kidneys...Which means there could be some obstruction in the urinary tract...So she said she wants to monitor me every month.I was worried and asked her if this is a major complication and she said no but could be minor. I am worried because of this. I am yet to meet the dr. and my appointment with her is on friday...
Girls, any info anybody has come across regarding this????
Pls let me know...

hi roopa,,
i am in my 26th week, when i got my 18th week scanning my baby had unilateral . the docotr asked me to go back on my 25 weeks, it is still there, and docotr said it is very common. i am in a same situation , worried and tensed. i am contacting as many pediatricians and radiologist as possible. they all say the same, it will go away and it is minor.i am very worried. please if u have gathered any information pass it on to me. thanks

dont worry vidhu, things are gonna be fine..i had not heard about this case but after readin your post i read through it on some sites..they say if its a mild problem it gets healed on its own without any treatment..i guess you will be referred to a pediatric urologist for further evaluation and a more detailed ultrasound..and depending on how mild or severe it is, they will treat it accordingly..they also say that it is four to five times more common in males than females...it could be an indication that you are having a boy :)
Dont worry, everything' s gonna be fine..you have all of us for your support and i pray to god that all' s well with ur baby..take care..
