Sounds like early infection in ur case, but it still does not change the treatment completion fact which is a must. SO I STILL SUGGEST u complete the entire treatment course and in the meantime , improve health in general like attaining normal body weight. And then go ahead with iui/ivf as indicated .

two points need clarification-

IF one person' s tube is blocked because of tb , then after completion of treatment , chances of natural conception are less likely becoc the tubes are blocked (becoz of tb , not medications ), she will need ivf. However , if her tubes are open on both sides , then she should try for natural conception if age and time permits because after tb treatment , chances of natural conception is still good.

second point is --tb treatment course is a minimum of 6 months or 9 months continous medications with no breaks in between. And one should avoid iui/ivf during these 6 0r 9 months of medications becoz of possible defects in the fetus/miscarriage in case of successful pregnancy.

So if ur doc is telling u to try an IUI before completing the complete course or continue medications and still try iui , she must be wrong or is trying not to lose out on patients .

Your iui may be successful but a miscarriage may occur. And you should not stop the medications at 4 months becoz then it is incomplete course and drug resistant tb may arise, which acn be difficult to treat.
