I live in India. After hearing and reading praise on sippy cups i got one for my 7m old baby to train her. The cup is a branded US product, with a soft spout, and for my baby's age.
But the cover/packing does not carry enough information on how to use it so i have lot of questions. What is the purpose of the rubber fitting that fixes into the lid from inner side and covers the openings? Is it only for anti-spill?
I noticed it has a small hole and the packing says \";before use, activate the opening by pressing it and then fit it\";, why do i need to do this?
How should the baby sip from this? is the baby expected to suckle on it just like on breast?
I tried putting that rubber thing and offferred the baby. She tried to suck as per her strength but nothing came out, so she left interest. Then tried by removing that rubber fixing and the sippy-cup then offerred with baby's favorite juice, the baby took it but the flow of liquid is too much, as was expected.
Also, if i do not use the anti-spill, i wd not be able to train the baby.
So i bought another sippy cup from other well known brand but same thing happening.
Please someone help me use it!
Thanks in advance
