I am having a boy and have a question about circumcised? Does this has to do anything with hindu religion? I and my hubby were discusing to get or not to get our baby circumcised any suggestion?

Hi anamika,
I thought i'll post my comments on this.
I am a muslim and in our religion its a must. I used to wonder y. Even I was inquisitive that y it is a must in our religion.I checked with my elders they said it is for hygine purpose only .

And i was told that if the curcumsion is done then the kid is away from all infections and stuffs.

Thanks for your immediate response. I don't think as a hindu tradition we do it and also my family nobody got it done but I just wanted to check for hygine reason....

check with your family. I don't think Hindu get this done. Jews and Muslims do it. Some Christans do it by choice. It's more of religious although they give a touch of hygine. better to check with family.
it's basically taking some foreskin of your littleones penis to expose glans.
