Due Date Club October 2003:My parents got their visa!

I have good news. My parents got their visa yesterday. They had the most easy time at the Chennai consulate. Their slot was at 10:15 to 10:30. They got to the consulate at 10, were given a token number, documents were verified and then proceeded to the next building. They were called for the \";interview\"; in 15 minutes. My parents did not request a translator, so an American conducted their interview. The only question my parents were asked was \";Why do you want to go to the US?\"; My dad responded with \";to visit my daughter\";. They were then asked to go and pay their issuance fee.
They were out of the consulate by 11:30.

I would like to thank everyone for the moral support during this time.

Hi Bar,

I sure hope so, we will know only when the courier gets home, and with tomorrow being Independence Day, I dont know when it will get home. I am so happy at the thought of seeing my parents next month....thanks for all your thoughts and advise.
