Hi all
I m the silent reader of all the mgs of this wonderful board, though my entry is late. Its really the amazing board sharing each others feelings and experiences.I am wondering if anyone has a solution to my problem.atually from the last 2 days, i am having severe pelvic pressure, it happens whether i am sitting down or lying down and at nighttime, the cond. is worse.i am even unable to sleep because of the pressure.Even my thighs 2 sore so badly.Everytime i change my position i feels a very sharp pain inside the public bone.i have tried pillows between my knees but nothing seems to be relieving this.i m relly worried abt all this. is this normal or something serious?Any suggestions...Plz help.

Hey Sami,

Like u i have been silent fr some time now... had posted a few messages quite a while back...
I have the same problem though not as severe...I spoke to my doctor and she said tht it is because your body is not used to carrying tht extra weight of your baby and it causes pressure on your tummy, thigh and vaginal muscles (you may also have swelling around ur vagina and some brusing too, apparently it is normal :-( )there are 2 things you can do.
the first one is wear a maternity belt ( i dont know if you get them in india.. i am sure u can ask your doc and they will be able to guide you) this helps releive pressure..
second you can put a ice pack or cold compress on it...you shouldn't put anything hot on it....
i hope this helps..
Shweta

Very good doctor
Hi,

She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
