Due Date Club November 2007:Positive blood test

Hi all,

I had my pregnancy test done yestr and the nurse called me giving me a good news. She siad she will give me the other reports today. Along with the pregnancy tests they did hormones and progesterone test as well. I hear today about them. I have been give my first appt for U/S on 5th april, 7th week. Iam so wiating for 5th April.

I do not know my due date as gynac will tell me only after the U/S I think. But I checked it online and it comes 17th Nov. Hye, can you tell me what should we eat and what not in this month? Have heard people say that not to eat food which has lots of heat.

Eggs, chicken and all dryfruits are they alright? Or do we ned to eat few dryfruits and not all? I have no symptoms yet, but just breast pains and gases and also feel constipated. Yestr had a mild headache with lightheadedness. Rest I can bear the smell of food and am still enjoying cooking.

U guys share ur symptoms and tell me whats ur food chart.

hey meghnah!!! thanks so much for the idea...i was not having milk but now i will start off with it immediately....as far as i know ruhi...chicken is ok but try not to have mutton as it is full of heat....i am too avoiding it. in fact have a lot of palak and dal. have lots of fluids...like juices and all. and we should never ever skip our medicines.my mom inlaw tells me never to be hungry for a long time...when ever you feel hungry grab a fruit like apple or guava..or banana...its good for the child. the rest i am having a normal diet of roti, chawal soup etc.

hello ruhi,
Congrats on joining the due date board,n welcum aboard.I' m 4m september due date board.Read ur question n thought of sharing whatever I know regarding what to be eaten n what not.

Like u said,eating dry fruits causes heat,so what I did was,I used 2 eat dryfruits since my TTC stage(that was One month,second month I conceived).Do soak the dryfruits ie 3,4 almond,few raisin n one fig in lil water the previous night next day morning eat them.This way the heat content of the dry fruit goes off,n u also get the essential proteins n irons 4m the dry fruits..Eat lot of green n red colour leaves.Do drink milk atleast twice a day.Eat yoghurt,paneer..I also soak fistful of black channa in water n have it the next day.Black chana is rich source of Iron..Eat beetroot atleast twice in a week.Again thisz rich source of iron..Daily u must have atleast 2 diffrent kinds of fruits..so do Include fruits in ur daily diet.Just avoid pineapple n papaya..If u drink more than 3 cups of coffee,just reduce it coz drinking lotta coffee also isnt very gud for we pregnant ladies.Avoid eating 4m outside till atleast u complete 10 weeks(thisz just for our safety),n if u do eat,COMPLETELY AVOID SALADS n mayonnaise stuff..anyways thisz all I can recollect now.If I know more I' ll write back to u soon..anyways take care n have a healthy pregnancy...

Hi all,

Meghnah ur tips were too good. I will soak the dryfruits in water and eat them now on. I do drink milk once in morning now iam thiking of making a dryfruits powder and mixing it in milk everytime I drink milk. Also, I was also thinking the same, Soaking all the different types of chanas and beans overnight and just boiling them a little and eating every morning.

hey ruhi,
dont worry abt the symptoms,coz I absolutely didnt have any nausea.Infact I have no pregnancy like symptoms,just that I eat a lot. n yes we do feel bloated n feel gaseous during pregnancy.Dont worry its absolutely Normal..n regarding eating non veg items I cannot say,coz I´ m a vegetarian..
