i got my test positive on 7th March,having 5 weeks pregnancy,would love to share your exp as its my 1st baby.

Subject:  got my u/s done



hiya all!! i did my first u/s and got my reports....but as i knew it was sooo early. they can see a poorly defined fetal pole inside the amniotic sac....thats all but as of now no cardiac activity....doc says its normal as its toooo early to detect....but somehow i am a bit worried......i have to do another scan by april 1st week.....and guys even my doc asked me to take pprogesterone and folic acid and some multivitamin tabs....i hope all goes well for everyone.....do share if you guys go for ultrasound!!!!!! all the best to all!!!!!!

Hi Dear,

I am also going to my office but not anywhere else unless its urgent.
Nt feeling any typical symptom like nausea etc bt going to toilet very often.
My neighbour says that sum ppl experience Voimiting & sum other looseries.May be ,Im in the second category.

hey monica....yes for me as well doc asked me to avoid intercourse and travelling.....but i can go to office....no long distance travelling for me....in fact i am not well today...suffering from stomach upset....i had lot of spicy food in the afternoon and hence now i long trips to the loo......my taste buds are gone for a toss...... did you guys ever had loossies or any diarrhoea symptoms???

Great to know that u have got ur u/s report normal.ill go to my gynae on 24th & she will let m eknow abt my u/s.
I have been strictly asked to avoid intercourse & travelling.Is ur case similar?

Hi,

You said you were asked to take progesterone tabs for 10 days and also progesterone injections after 10 days. Is this given to all ladies in first trimester? Coz my gynac has not given me any of these tabs and also not mentioned about any injections. Infact They have done a progesterone test and some hormone test with my bloodtest for pregnancy, the results for which iam awaiting. But, other then that if its neccessary to take the tabs. I' ll ask my gynac about it.

Hi Ruchi,

I have got an answer regarding my query posted n this site.Here is the answer-

progesterone is given to most of the pregnant women to maintain pregnancy, its essential.
Folic acid is given to make sure the fetus doesnt have neurological defects. Please take any medications given by the doctor regularly, you cant risk anything with your baby. Best of luck.

Hi Ruchi,

I dnt know why im being prescribed Progesterone tabs bcoz Dr has nt maesured progesterone levels in my blood so we cant say that there is sum deficinecy or so.......I dnt think every lady is given tabs or injections .in fact i have posted this query on this site & sum other site bt there is no answer.
But my Dr was saying that As I am working lady.I need to be given njections for better absorption.
anyways,i m having an appointment with her on 24th March then ill discuss itwith her.

hi monica and ruhi..i am also on my 5th week. and this is my 1st child.....you know guys i had an u/s day before yesterday and they saw a minute fetal pole......even though it was too early for a heart beat. i hope all of us deliver healthy children, tell me when you guys are due..i m on 4th nov. i am just praying hard to see a heart beat the next time i do an u/s....i too just have pain in my breasts and feel a bit too hungry at times. do share with my about ur symptoms!!!!!! will pray for both of you!!!!!

Hi monica,

Congrats. I am also in my 5th week. Had my blood test done yestr and got a positive result. Today they will give me the other results of hormones tests. Have u done a blood work and did u make ur first U/S appt yet.

This is my first pregnancy too. Just hoping that everything goes well. Will share our exps here. take care

Hi Ruchi,

It was nice seeing ur reply.I got my blood test(HCG)+ ve on 7th March & 7th Feb was my LMP.But I have been carrying a regular 28 days cycle so I went to my dr on the same day & it was confirmed.
I am nt asked to undergo a hormone test bt i have been given Folic Acid & Progesterone tabs for 10 days.After 10 days,ill be continued with Progesterone Injections.
