my due date is the same as yours - dec 10th .. my doctor's scheduled my ultrasound for 9th may ...just wanted to say good luck with yours :) love,ss

hi pooja,
If you get ur u/s done between 8-10 weeks..doc can have the heartbeat and overall growth of the baby..and from that they just confirm everything is fine...are u in india or in usa?..b'coz in usa doc genrally asked to get it done around 8-10 weeks...i don't about india how they perform...
and there is no harm to get the u/s done so if you r worried because of that don't worry about it..and get it done if ur doc has asked to do so...

Hi all,
I had my first Ultrasound at 4th week... Doc could see only the sac.. It was repeated after 2 weeks.. i.e at my 6th week.... Doc says everything is fine..

hi pooja,
I am from november board. First of all congratulations on ur pregnancy!
The first ultrasound can be done around 8 to 10 weeks. By that time you will be able to hear the heartbeat also.
so ur doc may ask to get it done around this time. I had mine got done at 9 weeks.

thanks vimmi: i think i'll get the ultrasound later maybe by 10th week , as i have just completed 7th week. but i still am apprehensive whether ultrasound is required at such an early stage or can be done later in 5th month only? pooja
