Due Date Club December 2005:Ultrasound.....

Name: Siya

Hi Cha, Sowmya,

I had my first ultrasound this week. Everything looks fine so far. My \";evening\"; sickness is really bad though. I cannot stand any of the regular foods, esp vegetables and dal. I can only tolerate sweet stuff and citrus fruits. Weird bcoz I usually don't like those. My son's name is Saurav. It was opposite with him, he likes only salty, spicy food. How bout u guys? Cha, how old r ur kids? I am kind of tense about handling 2 small kids though. Do u have similar thoughts? Sowmya, is this ur first? Keep in touch...

Hi Siya,

It must be exciting for you, but also a little confusing. It was for me. My biggest problem when I was pregnant with my second child; how could I possibly love him like I love my first son?? I cried day and night. However, when the day came those fears completely dissapeared and my heart grew to fit all the love for both of them. But, I was really scared during my pregnancy---it was horrible!

My oldest son, L.J. ('little' Joseph), is 2 (April,8,03)

My youngest son, Aarun, is 10 months old (July 9, 03)

I also have a step daughter, Militsu, who is 8 years old. She is with us every weekend (actually recently it has been every other weekend).

My morning sickness is so annoying! I just want this feeling to go away. I usually just lie down when I feel like this.

Siya, how old is Saurav?

Yea, handling two small children can be difficult, but it's not as difficult as outside people imagine. It's like this: Let's say you have this huge project at work to complete and before you get started you wonder how you'll ever manage it. However, once you get started and break it down peice by peice you realize it's not so bad, and then you can actually enjoy doing your work. I think it's like that with kids. = )

In addition, I do things to cut down my time. Bathe them together. Feed them together. Same nap time. etc...

Talk to you soon!

Cha!

my son is 2.5 yrs old. he is still a baby though being first born! i am trying to prep him slowly, like getting him to eat snacks by himself, take his own sippy etc. i try not to carry him a lot either. he senses something has changed so he gets annoyed sometimes. he is really possessive of me so it is more difficult. well, i hope i can prep him atleast little bit before the baby comes. what works for morning sickness? and do u also have a yucky feeling in the mouth after eating anything?

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
