Hello Nitya,

Walking is a very good idea during pregnancy. Already you are in 6th month..so if you are starting now u need to warmup your body first. Take it easy and start walking only for 10mins twice. slowly increase the speed and time both. You may not want to tire yourself much.all the best

Am in my 24th week and walking thru out ur pregnancy is a good idea. During labour, even docs suggest u walk for an easy delivery.

I personally prefer mornings/evenings - wen there isnt too much sun & even during nites after u have ur dinner. Brisk walk or a quite stroll in the frsh air - its ur wish .. whichever u r comfy with. Ur main idea behind walking is not to burn calories /lose weight...but to help ur muscles to push during the labour.

Wear comfy footwear and look where u r walking - u dont wanna stumble upon something n fall. Its a good idea to carry some water and a cell phone - just in case..! If u r planning to take a long walk , i feel its nice to take breaks in between.

Happy time then!!!

diet during pregnancy
Maintaining a healthy diet during pregnancy is very important.

During this time, your body needs additional nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

In fact, you may need 350–500 extra calories each day during the second and third trimesters.

A diet lacking in key nutrients may negatively affect the baby’s development.
