kanji is the best food for infant..
rice-1cup
ragi-1cup(u can use ragi pwder too)
whole wheat -1cup
black urud dhal-1/4cup
tapioca or sabudana-1/4cup
dry corn-1/4cup
barley-1/4cup
oats-1/4cup
black chana dal-1/4cup
dry soya beans-1/4cup
green moong dal-1/4cup

wash everything and dry it well for three days and fry everything in a pan separately and grind it well and sieve it..put it in a air tight conatainer..prepare kanji by mixing the powder with water without any lumps and stir continuously for 5min..
while giving first time give in watery state and give little amount..if it sets to ur baby then increase the quantity slowly..if ur baby didn' t have nuts allergy u can add some cashews, almonds too..

hi Mrinmayi,

nice to know that u insisted all of us to initiate discussion on infant diet. it' s really gr8.

panchamrut is beneficial for infant' s mental growth since it constitutes of five precious elements as the name suggests like milk, curds, sugar, ghee (homemade) and honey (or jaggery). mix them together in small proportions and feed them regularly, but consult some professional b4 consuming, since few infants may be allergic to cold or sour items as such.

boiled n mashed pumpkins, potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, etc. of choice.

varan-bhat-toop-mith-limby, again a chain of five elements viz. dal, rice, little pure ghee, lime juice a drop and salt. mix well and feed. make it very soft. best source of proteins and calcium.

Hi just looking at your message i' m not sure on infant recipe' s. But i do know that the safest masalas that you could use in the infants food is from Everest Dry Fruit Masala' s. They are very safe and have no toxins which is safe for your body but most importantly safe for your infants.
