Hey Vindhya....I too have been suffering a great deal of acidity and heartburn lately...and honestly the one thing that ONLY seems to give me tremendous relief is Pudin Hara-G...thats the new sachet thats available now..its just like Eno but with Mint. Believe me...Its INSTANT relief! The doc said since its an ayurvedic preparation it shouldnt cause any harm...in any case she's recommended something called Mucaine Gel for when the acidity peaks....do consult ur doc abt this and see if u can take it...I do! But mostly I settle with Pudin hara. AB replied. i am taking rantac (ranitidine tablet) which works 90% of the time.

but i guess 3rd trimester of oregnancy and these sickening heartburns just go together...... try to eat smaller meals - breaking it up over the day. that helps... don't styff stomach to the full , at the same time don't go hungry that works.... just that sometimes i wonder if my only task whole day is to eat and then think abt. the next meal ;-) Vindhya replied. Sorry to hear about your acidity & heartburn.

Yesterday mine was so severe, that the acid almost came to my mouth(Sorry, too much information).

My previous doctor who was Indian, had recommended Pudin-Hara for indigestion. It worked wonders. She did tell that it is all natural and there wouldn't be any side-effects.

The present doctor who is American has no clue about this. So, I did take it once or twice and stopped as I wasn't sure whether it would be safe or not.

I take the round tablets one. I'll talk to my doctor about Mucaine Gel next time.

The doctor has recommended Maalox, which works to some extent. I heard Mylanta was better(Radhika too mentioned this) and I need to talk to my doctor about it. Tums, for some reason has no effect at all.

Hope these problems go away after delivery.
