I had an exciting weekend. Had been to the Infant Care Class in my hospital. It was jus awesome.
It was a 9-5 class(that was lil straining).
Whole day they taught us every possible thing we need to know. They taught us breastfeeding intensely with video tapes, I feel little confident now. They also had all baby items diff brands and showed us each one and told the pros and cons of each product like formula, bottles, nipples, diapers, clothes, carseats, cribs etc.
They gave us baby dolls one for each(SOOO CUTE). We had to learn to bathe(with water and shampoo etc), wash and wipe, diapering, soothing, comforting, burping, putting to sleep, holding, cuddling, dressing, wrapping oooh what not.
I was surprised my hub was doing it all better than me(shame on me).
They also taught abt FirstAid, Safety Tips, Emergency situations etc, it was very scary but thats what is reality right.
And they gave us info on pediatricians and what to expect each visit and how to identify a suitable doc for us etc.
Oh its a whole new world with babies. My eyes opened now and I now got better exposed to what it takes to be a mom.
I would def encourage u all to go for this class.
Many of my frends never went and are excellent parents now, but its a good exposure, esp for hubs to make them more aware of all these. I am happy that we went.

Bar Ritu replied. hi Bhar , how are you doing ? Thanks for sharing info . I am living close to two hospitals both have infant care programmes but lot of cost difference . How much did u pay for this class ? It will help me decide .
