Hi Vidhi

I did my NT scan in my 12th week. The scan is to measure the amount of fluidbehind the neck of the baby - this acts as a screening test for genetic disorders.
no, u dont have to have a full bladder.

The scan itself is fun, because typically u have this scan after ur 6th week scan when all u see is a dot. Now suddenly u can see a moving baby, hands and legs, nasalbone, spinal cord and all that. its really exciting. Try coughing, or laughing to see the baby' s reaction on the screen :)

My risk levels came out to be low, and hence my doc told me i dont have to do any further tests. (nowadays everyone does the triple marker test though)

I am going completely by what the doc is telling me, and believing that everythign will go fine!

Best of luck for your test.
