Hi all,
Just got my HPT results this morning. I am ecstatic. Its positive and i most probably will be due by mid january 2006.
My Q is is it ok to travel in the 1st month? I live on the east coast of US and will be flying to hawaii which takes 12 hrs.

Hi,
I would suggest not to travel. Not scaring you - but we heard a case about miscarriage of the foetus, because of air pressure difference. ( I got to know this after I travelled on a 3hr flight in my second month).
Please don't travel.
Take care,
Skg

Dear Why not,
I am thrilled as much you are!
I don't encourage you to travel by air at this stage.
I would want you not to travel until you have your 20 weeks ultrasound done and all is fine at that time. Even if your Dr. says you can, I will still be against it.
Remember it took years to get on this board to you and don't want to take any tiny bit of risk!

Archie

Hi Whynot,

Congratulations!!! I think you should travel after your first trimester. That's the safest time. Given your case, please don't take unnescessary risks. You don't want to complicate things. You know your body/system well. Use your best judgement. This is just my thought. Take care and enjoy your pregnancy.

Dear whynot,

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you. I used to check the TTC board and prayed for the women there often (this is when I was trying a couple of months back). I am thrilled to read your news!

I believe that traveling is OK in the beginning. The only time when I have been advised not to travel is towards the end of the pregnancy. Have you seen your doctor yet?

Congratulations again!!! Best of luck to you and your family!

Cha!

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

hi
So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
