I am confused at home. its been 3yrs since but dont feel as part of the family. My MIL decides on everything right from what to cook to when to change our bedspreads. She does not allow me to do anything. Very sweetly she tells me to take rest and do my work????? She cooks everything in the night for the lunch and and dinner and happily goes out. what am i suppose to do at home?????? By chance she tells me to do something she directs me step by step according to her method. AM I 34YRS CHILD????????

Just go and change your bed sheets one day...then another day, go in the kitchen and say that you are planning to cook a particular dish...when you are at home, cook something like a dessert etc and serve it for lunch and dinner...and when she says anything about why did you do it..just smile and say that you wanted to...

In fact the next time she says take rest (and you dont want to)..tell her equally sweetly, that you'll make the dinner for that day and its time she took rest that day...

And if she irritates you by telling you step by step something - just smile again and tell her nicely that \";mummy, mujhe pata hai kaisa karna hai\";...
