Hi All,

I tend to get leg cramps on and off. Its not chronic or very painful but there is some kind of dull ache all the time. I feel its more so if I havent slept very well. Is anybody else experiencing the same thing? If so, are there any remedies known to you?

Thanks,
Raji

Hi girls,

Even i have it. i had it for my 1st pregnancy too. its a part of it. theres nothing u can do. I dont know abt the water thing. But i know that milk is good for cramps.

And while sleeping its better to keep ur legs on a pillow or a cushion for good blood circulation my doc had asked me to do this.

Hi all,
Even I have the problem, but it is only during night time i.e when I am sleeping. By morning I can hardly scretch my legs stright. I has sit for few min and then rub your feet.. then only I will be able to getup. Even changing the sleep position will not help.
Before you go to sleep just massage your leg with the warm coconut oil.. I am sure it will help you.

Take care..

Thanks guys. Its feels much better knowing how to cope with leg cramps. I would just ask my husband to massage them for me. I must do some stretching and walking religiously. I really dont want this to become a long time parter..

Thanks,
Raji

Hi,
same with me also. In nights I'm getting up because of this pain and in the morning I can't even put my feet down. If I walk 2 days nicely third day I can't .
Today I checked with my doc she said if they r not labor cramps then u can walk normally its normal because of uterus weight.
Water I don't know may be its helping for mihika but for me not because I drink almost 3lt water daily.
I tried everything I read on the net but not permanant cure its only temporary.

Hey Raji I too get leg cramps sometimes..It not like everyday but they are really bad..I have noticed that the days i drink less water/fluid because i am busy with something etc i get cramps...so if i get cramps first thing i do is drink water ..so basically try and drink lots of water during the daytime only..

Also i was reading that you should not strech your foot outwards..instead its good if you move your feet toward you its good ..
Hope this helps

Let cramps..oh gosh.. i am experincing since i was in third month. It never comes up in a day, but as soon as i am about to sleep, it jumps up. Its not just a leg cramps for me, its something diff. the symptoms mentioned for \";Restless Legs Syndrome\"; although my gynac says its not RLS. It gives me some crawling sensation in legs, something like electric current moving, or like that. I Just massage my legs for 10 odd mins and it goes away.

Hi Pallavi,

I read about Restless Leg Syndrome and I too feel that I am suffering from the same. The symptoms feel exactly like its been described on the net. My second trimester was relatively less pain but now in the 3rd trimester I think its going to cause me lot of pain. I must start on some walking and stretching.

Thanks,
Raji

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
