Subject:  Try Spaghetti Bolognese

Hi,
If you love pasta, you should also try Spaghetti Bolognese or lasagne dishes, all with popular with children. They are all pasta dishes. You can find the recipes on the internet. Also, there are recipes for making pasta, if you can' t find any pasta or spaghetti in India.

Spaghetti Bolognese is a hugely popular Italian dish. Besides, it is quicker and easier to cook than lasagne. Spaghetti is stringy pasta - most like shoe strings. Cook the Spaghetti Bolognese the same way as Asavari below tells you how to cook pasta and sauce.

You may have some problem with picking up the spaghetti in your fork as they slip away easily, though your kids will have fun with them. To pick up the spaghetti the Italian way, insert your fork into the spaghetti and twirl the fork round and round. This wraps the spaghetti around the fork. Lift it up and enjoy.

If you are a vegetarian or vegan, you can replace minced meat with Textured Soya Protein, which resembles minced beef. You can also use Textured Soya Protein in lasagne, also in other European dishes such as Shepherd' s Pie, etc. Optionally, you can leave out the soya, if you are having any trouble of finding textured soya in India. I don' t really bother with soya - honestly.

Subject:  Buy a ready-made sauce. Why not?

Hi Ak,
I know what you mean. Here´ s a simple solution. Cut out the time and hassle of preparing pasta sauce in your kitchen. For convenience´ s sake, just go out to shops and buy yourself a ready-made Italian sauce with vegetable pieces in them.
You can add chopped mushrooms to sauce, if you like.

Just boil the pasta in one pot. Meanwhile, fry the meat in a saucepot with a little olive oil (or your favourite oil), optionally if you like meat. When the meat is browned, then add the sauce to it. Cover the saucepot and simmer for a few minutes.
When the pasta is softened, drain off the water. Place pasta on a dinner plate, make a hollow in the centre of pasta - like a bird nest. Pour sauce in that centre. Ak, you can too do this with spaghetti.
