Why do some babies have sleep problems? How to help babies fall sleep easily? When is sleeping problems in babies commonly observed?
HappyJ replied. When I needed help with sleeping problems I was searching the internet and I’ve found somebody talking about Susan Urban's guide and her the Hold With Love method. I gave it a try and today we are much happier parents. My sweet girl is the best but when it came to sleep she was pretty hard case. After 4 days of the HWL she was able to fall asleep on her own and she finally stopped waking up every hour to eat (she is 5 months old). This method is for children over 3 months.
I think the most important thing is to follow exactly what the author of this method says because the method is easy but there is also a lot of details. I've found the instructions on how to di it right in "How to teach a baby to fall asleep alone" guide by Susan Urban on I guess her website parental-love dot com
Thanks everybody who shares their experience because I know that it's really not easy to deal with sleeping problems. Thank you Susan Urban whoever you are. You made our life easier

Dear Myntrea..i can understand ur problem...but day nap is must for a good nights sleep in babies... and as they grow their day nap time decreases so dont worry but get ur angle to rest in the day time at least for an hour..lie down with her and tell her stories which will capture her interest..give her a warm bath before bed time..dont make her cranky at day it makes it difficult to put her to bed at night..tc

Find out the cause of her difficulty in sleeping. she may be having an infection or cold. check this out. as babies get older they nap less.if your little one is napping less but fussing more, or having trouble going to bed at night, she may be overtired and in need of some nap-time encouragement. Try bedtime routine before each nap and be patient. Too much sleep during the day may lead to too little sleep during the night.Try to make her room sleep friendly at night with soothing music and without any outside noises.

This is quite normal. After two or three months, the sleep pattern changes in a baby. The baby who was once sleeping much of the time now likes to remain active. She may be ready for anything but bedtime. she has a lot more to discover and explore which keeps her active. Her mind is always active finding new things. With new stuff to play with and see, it is much of a fun staying awake than sleep. You must stick with your baby bedtime routine such as bath, story, and so on. At the end of the routine, say good night and mean it. Make her know that this is time for sleeping. Set a time and bedtime routine now and this really helps.

My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
