Hi,
I' ve liked Sunita' s recipe for the mango chutney. Unfortunately, some of the ingredients in Sunita' s recipe are not available in my country, Ireland. So, I was wondering if there are any other recipes for making mango chutneys, the recipes with alternative ingredients. I' d be grateful if any of you readers can help. Thanks

Ingredients:
1 raw mango
1/2 cup gram dal
1/4 tsp fenugreek(optional)
2 tsp jaggery
3,4 green chillies
1/2 tsp jeera
2,3 pods of garlic
coriander leaves
curry leaves
salt to taste

Step 1: soak gram dal and methi in warm water for 20 mins. After soaking, drain and keep aside.
Step 2: Meanwhile you can cut raw mango(without peeling it)into cubes.
Grind all the ingredients except curry leaves. While grinding water should be added only iff it is necessary.

Step 3: Take out the chutney in a serving bowl. Heat 1/2 tsp of oil. Put poppy seeds. Add a pinch of heeng and curry leaves. Add this to chutney.
Your mango chutney is ready to serve with chapathi/paratha.

Thank you, Sunita,
For a long time, I´ ve been unable to find recipes on chutneys. Mango chutney is one of my favourite sauces. I always have mango chutney in my sandwiches and on crackers. Though I´ m not Indian, I love Indian dishes.
Thank you once again.
