My baby boy is 1 month old. from some days i am watching that whenever i keep him on sun light directly, there will be some red point come out on whole body. if i bring him in room, then red point will be disappear. may be he has some problem with direct sun light. Please advice me what should i do, to protect him. sun-light is also necessary for him.
thanks Hetal replied. sunlight is necessary for kids who have suffered from birth/newborn jaundice or were victims of long term jaundice,,,
otherwise,thr skin is sensitive enough to get sunburns..even if its cloudy,,its the UV rays that continusly attacking earth atmsphere and are resposble for burns.and if in cloudy day itself,they are harmful,,imagine what harm it will do to 1month old baby(who himself is still adjusting to outside climate other than mother womb and that his skin is immature to deal with such harmful rays),,when even adults are having sun burns and are expected to put a good sunscreen when out in SUN !!!!

so at first, avoid keeping in sun,,,it was a traditional practice before because the sun rays at that time were not harmful,,considering earth ozone layer and other natural conditions,,,which is not the case today !!!
as far vit d is concerned,,you are having dairy in your diet which is passd on thru BM or by iron fortified formula and its just the enough amt for your baby body...

the only advice i can give you is avoid keeping your 1 month old in direct sunlight, unless otherwise highly recomnded by your dr.its practical enough for you to follow in accrdnce to your baby responses thn to stick to something that is a must for him !!!
many things are a must, but not all babies respond to them with same acceptance..and its not that they are allergic to it(unless its diagnsd by your dr),,but its just that its early for them to go thru that practice,,,so avoid such things for ne baby that is below 6months !! give him time to grow in normal environment and thn outline what are the basics needed...
