Rita replied. Sorry, I forgot to mention other things. Sandwiches are great not only for wedding receptions, also for other receptions at art exhibitions, official openings, formal parties, etc.
Sandwiches are also ideal for serving your European guests, especially elderly people who are unaccustomed to spicy Indian foods.
Believe this or not, here in Ireland, people are stuffing meat/salad fillings into naan breads, Mexican wraps, pitta breads, etc. Irish people love tasting variety of foreign foods: Indian cuisine is much favoured here. I first tasted naan bread just last year and I love it. I also love pomadoms (sorry I don' t know its spelling).
I come to this website just to learn about Indian cooking, even though I am not Indian. I' ve to say that this is one of the best and most attractive websites I' ve ever come across. You have just about everything here.
I found two very interesting websites on Indian cooking. To go there, first go to Google, type the following below and then click \" I' m Lucky.\" Voila, you' re there.

Rita replied. Sandwich is the correct spelling. If it has to be plural noun, it is sandwiches.
You can make sandwiches as packed lunches for your spouse going off to work, for your kids, to school or trips, wherever.
Here are my suggestions for the fillings below.
First take any two slices of bread. Spread the butter or mayonnaise on the insides. Select your fillings:-
For egg sandwich: Take one hard-boiled egg and a half onion (red or white). Chop them and mix them with mayonnaise.
For banana sandwich: mash one banana with some juice of lemon (to stop banana from off colour). Alternative, if you want to eat banana immediately, then you don' t need lemon juice. Just slice Banana across, not lengthwise. Spread coin-shaped pieces of banana onto the buttered surfaces of bread. Sometimes, kids in Europe sprinkle sugar directly on top of banana. It' s much nicer and healthier without sugar. Personally, I love banana-and-cheese sandwich.
For salad: Choose vegetables and sauces (optional), any you desire. Examples: lettuce, grated carrots, chopped onions, sliced cucumber, radish, sweetcorns, whatever you fancy.
Your sauces can be mayonnaise (if none in your country, see recipes online), chutneys, tomato sauce, worchester sauce, etc.
Cheese sandwich: Just cheese slices or grated cheese. My old-time favourite is mature cheddar (high fat), best out of fridge for an hour or so.You can have just cheese as filling with nothing else added. Or, you can add cheese to the salad/meat fillings. My favourite is cheese-and-mango chutney sandwich.
If you like to serve sandwiches to guests, cut the sandwiches diagonally, cutting from any corner to the opposite, then diagonally again with the remaining corner. Stand the sandwiches upwards on a plate or in a basket with paper tissue (I favour the latter for presentation). Optionally, sprinkle chopped parsley onto the standing sandwiches. This should impress your guest. This is often ideal for many Irish and British wedding receptions.
