Due Date Club November 2003:Always thirsty anyone?

Hi All,

I can't seem to stop drinking water, I always feel extremely thirsty. At night too, whenever I wake up to use the loo, I drink atleast a glass of water. Avi, even I have to run to the loo several times at night. This has been happenning from last week. I am wondering why this sudden change, is it normal?

Hi Vindhya
I used to feel very thirsty a couple of weeks back and I thought it was because it was really warm here. In a way, I was glad as that made sure I drink a lot of water.

I too feel warmer - sometimes it is uncomfortable and sleep at night is pretty disturbed. And with all the walking I have to do, I get soooo tired and sleep doesn't come by easy...ohhhh the woes of GD!! But I am blissfully happy with it all....the complexities of motherhood :)

Hi Vidhya. Like you and Avi, even I get thirsty all the time. I have been have frequent trips to the loo for ages. Stopped having water at night to help reduce those trips but lately even that don't stop me from having a full bladder. Having water is good to flush our system, so let's keep doing that!
I guess with the gain in weight, our body has more fat on it than before...and I too feel warmer than usual. Our fall has started and winter would be just round the corner but I don't find the need than more a blanket at night. Wearing light clothes when others are putting on the layers. So I guess this body temprature thing is NORMAL too!
I'm sure we will be discussing post natal diet to reduce this fat after few mths but for now....let's enjoy the ride!
Take care.

Hey Vindhya, nothing to worry about.. I feel the same and it started all of a sudden too ..I am always drinking water now (I used to barely drink a glass a day before the pregnancy) and I heard the same from all 20 women in my childbirth prep classes...

I also feel warmer than usual, I find myself feeling warm when everyone else around me feels kinda cold..this is coming from someone who used to feel cold if the temp went below 60..

Drinking water is good for the bladder right now.. so keep it up .. :)
and yeah the # of trips to the loo will only increase.. I heard that it will reduce only after the baby descends into the pelvis and his/her head gets engaged..
:)

aaahhh, the wonders of pregnancy..aren't they just precious..:)

Avi,

It's good to know that I am not alone and that it is pretty normal. I used to wonder why.

Even I feel hot when everyone is not. Oh well, it's a couple of weeks more and we sure will miss all these weird changes.

Diaper Service Provider,Bangalore
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.

Thanks in advance
