Due Date Club November 2003:Nov mommy group

I was thinking that since Nov is just around the corner, why not we all create a Yahoo group of our own (like the Oct board has already done)..I think it will be more private than the briefcase...We can chat on yahoo messenger, post messages for one another, post pictures we like to share.....and in general form our own little support group..

I can go ahead and create one for us if I get the thumbs up from you guys... What do you think???

All you would need is a yahoo id.. if you dont already have one, as you must all already know, it takes a couple of minutes to create one.. :)

Hey guys, glad you all liked the idea... I will do it ASAP.. and like Simmi said, we can use the parents of babies board here to post our usual messages and the yahoo group for chats and pics and other fun stuff..

Everbody seems to be happy with the idea. It will be fun to be in touch afterwards. We all are so much used to this board that we will miss it.

Hope you must be liking your new place. When are you going to do the nursery? I haven't done any shoping yet. Probably from this weekend I will concentrate on my shopping.

same here Ruchika, no shopping yet.. I was waiting for our move to start with the shopping.. My new place is pretty good.. I am not going do the nursery cause we will be renting this place for a year (actually till we find a house to buy)..so no point having a nursery here..

Do keep us updated with your shopping adventures :) and hope you are having fun with you parents.. :)

Hi Avi. As usual, you have come up with a fab idea! I already have yahoo ID and messenger installed and am eagerly waiting to having our pvt chat sessions too. We should continue with the board too, shifting from expecing parents to Parents of babies as that gives us a chance to get updates from everyone at one common place too.

Hey Simmi, well, the idea was borrowed from June and Oct boards.. so I cant take all credit.. :) but yeah it sure will be good if we can chat on the messenger and share our private info in a more private place..
We will have more control when it comes to protecting our privacy..

and yeah, like you said we should use the babies of parents board too, so we can meet more mommies and make our circle bigger... :)

A Yahoo group is a good idea. I think it will be especially nice to get everyone's input soon after baby. All the different pregnancy related issues that have been discussed in this board have been so enlightening, It will be wonderful to keep that going.

hey,
I have been resting like anything and getting bored also but my pain doesn't seem to decrease, it keeps increasing. And, as my doc said, it will keep increasing as baby keeps gaining weight but won't reduce. So, I guess I will just have to leave with it for few more weeks.
Me and my husband can't wait for these 6 weeks to get over now and have the baby in our arms.
Also, our nursery is all done, everything is ready except I just need to wash all the things like baby's clothes, carseat/stroller cover and crib bedding and stuff. But, I am kinda being lazy now.
Also, it's been very hot, don't feel like doing anything. Heard about your move, don't exert yourself and take rest now. I don't know how you did it with this big tummy. I can hardly roam around and even carry a gallon of milk.
Well, take rest now because after baby's here, you will have sleepless nights. Didn't mean to scare you:))

Hi Ashriya. Sorry to hear about the pain and completely relate to it. Like you, Vidhya and Avi, even I am in the same boat and have good and bad days. Yesterday was a really bad day, couldn't sit, walk, lie down, changing sides has been a struggle forever! But aiming to go through the remaining weeks, with all u guys....REST as much as you can and take care.

I am glad you are taking lots of rest. Sorry to hear about the pain. 6 weeks will fly by before you know it. Like Avi, it's painful for me too to move from one position to other at night.

Hey ARshiya, sorry to hear about the pain, it must be all the pressure the growing tummy is applying on your pelvis..
I can totally understand how frustrated you must be...cause I have the same pain(even when I sleep now)..I cant seem to move my legs after staying in one position for a while..

but glad that you are resting up..the more the better and its just a matter for a few more weeks..
so before you know it, you and hubby will have the little angel with you and yeah all those sleepless nights too :)

I am glad that you are almost done with the nursery..washing stuff will only take a few hours, so you can afford to be lazy...like you said, its been HOT around here lately - and it must be even worse near Livermore..but today is the first day of Fall and it will surely get better..
and yeah, it is surely getting harder to do anything with the tummy and all the extra weight.. :) I cant even sit down without being in pain and when I do, I cant seem to get back up..

TAke it easy.. and keep us updated..
