Hi, Just wondering how many of you are taking childbirth preparation class and other classes recommended for pregnant ladies? I am thinking about joining prenatal Yoga class. Thanks. Venita replied. I would prefer the 2 day session rather than the 6 week session - as most of the topics covered aren't so much indepth that you require time to ponder over them. Besides, since working couples may find it difficult to find time off from work over a period of 6 weeks (as in my case), a 2 day session would be better.
Sitting for a long period of time in a class is uncomfy, but the instructors are very understanding and encourage us to take breaks, go to the bathroom, stretch our legs on the chairs, etc.

Any one else has any other thoughts?

I had just been for my child birth class this weekend and found it to be extremely helpful. Even though all information is present in books, having someone tell you about it is very good. They also had some sessions on relaxation, explained the different stages of labour, how to care for the new born, the various medication available, newborn characteristics etc. On the whole it was a rewarding session, though a little too packed with info as I'd opted for an Express course which spans two days rather than a course which spans six weeks.

I plan to have the baby back in India, so am not sure how much of the stuff discussed applies there, but on the whole, it was a very educative and fun filled two days.
