i am in 37th week now...and since last 4-5 days I am experiencing really painful cramps in my lower back and lower abdomen from time to time. It gets worse in the night when i lie down to sleep. and i have been spending more and more wakeful hours every day now.
From what I hear about BHCs, these cramps dont seem like them. I can feel lot of gas locked in my abdomen, and the pain increases when the gases move. The gases dont pass easily.

Would like to know if any one has faced such a problem and has any remedy for this.

Shanthi replied. Am in my 38th week and experience back aches n lower abdominal pains too .. but once in a while.

Usually when i walk a lot or have strained myself in some way .. i get back aches and experience RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome). A hot compress on the back & keeping my legs in an elevated postion helps me sometimes. A nice massage can be relaxing too!!

Yeah.. i feel gassy too. If u r carrying a lil high like me .. then it mite be worse. Sometimes, I feel my tummy mite explode :-) Its very similar to BHC .. the whole tummy tightens and is very uncomfortable. Am not sure if we both experience the same. I started having a light diet, esp during nites .. only then i am able to sleep well.

* Its better to avoid gassy foods like potatos or stuff cooked with besan. Even rice at nite bloats me up ..!!
* U can try some over the counter stuff like TUMS.
* Having warm milk helps me sometimes and do give atleast an hour gap between ur meals n sleep time.
* I heard prenatal vitamins can make u gassy sometimes. Just check with ur doc abt it.

In any case, its better to talk to ur doc .. as u say u have been experiencing these from sometime.

pound.Will i have normal delivery.pls help.
