Hi,
Iam in california and here there is a Upupi palace. My fav. food is vegetable biryani.Its awesome. I just cannot forget the aroma and Iam very much interested in learning to cook that at home.As anybody tasted it?Any idea how it is made.I tried various ways nothing matches that.

Subject:  veg biryani method



hai,
here is the method for making of vegetable biryani.
ingredients:
basmati rice - 4 cups
peas - 1/4 cup
chopped cauliflower - 1/2 cup
peeled potatoes - 1/2 cup
green beans - 1/4 cup
ghee - 1/4 cup
carrot slices - 1/2 cup
cardamoms - 6
tomatoes - 1/4 cup
salt - 1 1/2 table spoon
0nion - 1
cashew nuts - 1/2 cup
cloves - 6
cinnamon - 1
bay leaf - 1
method:
heat ghee and fry onion slices and add cloves,cinnamon and cardamoms with cashew nuts. then add all the cut up vegetables and cook for some time till the vegitables are half cooked.then add cleaned and washed rice- fry for 4-5 minutes and cook the whole thing (including all vegetables)in a rice cooker with water . after that serve the hot veg biryani with curd chutney.
for chutney:
curd-2 cups
green chillies-2 (cut)
coriander leaves - 1 cup
salt-1 tbs
for chutney mix all the ingredients.serve it with biryani.
