Pregnancy is a time to take extreme care so one cannot pop up any pain killer. It can be harmful. Paracetamol is considered safe but it is best to take it after consulting the doctor. Best way to treat headaches is by acting on the root causes. Taking enough rest so that fatigue does not set in is important. Meditation, yoga or breathing exercises are very helpful. Drinking enough water and taking steam inhalation when having cold prevents much of headache complaints. A stroll in the park is refreshing and also the cool air eases headaches. Low blood sugar is a common cause of headaches. Try eating smaller, more frequent meals. Sometimes pregnancy may affect your vision, causing headaches. check this out. It' s quite usual to get headaches when pregnant, this is true in the first trimester. If a woman has migraine, then the chances of having headaches increases during pregnancy. These are common complaints in pregnancy and are due to hormonal fluctuations. Many other causes can also be the culprit such as addiction to caffeinated drinks, fatigue or even common cold. Sometimes hunger also causes headaches. It is important to find the actual cause so that proper treatment is taken. Popping in a pill is not the solution.
