hi

i just had a baby abt 6 months back and dont want to have another baby atleast for another 3 years. the most popular recommended birth control method is IUD or copper T which i am against using. Using condoms takes the pleasure out of it . IS oral contraceptive safe in the long run and for long duration. any side effects?.i dont have any other health problem.Any other suggestions?

confused advice replied. Instead of using contraceptive condons which are inserted into your vagina; it is better to take injections in your buttocks through maternity clinics. but you have to bear the pain for a day confused replied. hi

i took ur advise and saw the doc and she gave me a prescription for contraceptive pills. have started taking them..no side affects as yet. thanks for ur vote

I too was in the same state of mind while i had my baby, and even i din't like the idea of iud as my sister suffered a lot after using it, like excessive bleeding, and all, and hence adviced me not to go for it. Similarly i too couldn't depend on comdom for too long, And hence visited my family doc. And he asked me to use the contraceptive pills. And so far, its working good with me. If u are in india go in for some other brands, suggested by a gynaec. If u meet her, she should be able to choose the right one for u. Coz some cause dizziness, and nausea etc. So u must be in a position to choose, which suits u the best. So go and talk to ur gynaec. I have been on pills for the past 3 yrs, and din't have any side effects at all, but for a mild weight gain(say about 2-3 kgs. and i don't mind it so much.). But if u have any other serious side effects other than these(like breathing difficulties leg pain etc etc), then u should immediately discontinue it and see the doctor immediately. U should be very careful in deciding it.
