I have 8 month old baby. I am full time working mom. Trying hard to make my baby get BM. Nursing him once in the morning, once during lunch and once at night. I used to do once in the evening, but ever since I gave him the solid the third time this time went away from the feeding schedule. So, it only 3 times a day. And I pump at work 2 times a day. After the morning feed at home, I pump at work once after 3-5 to 4 hours and after the lunch hour feeding I pump at work after 3 - 3.5 hrs. Then I get to feed him in the night after 4 to 4.5 hrs from the last pumping session. THe problem is I am worried as I started waiting too many hours in between the feeding/pumping sessions my milk produciton might slow down. In fact I see it lowered a down a little. I am feeling this way since I used to feel the heavyness, pressure if I don't get that milk out before. But these days for hours together I am just doing fine, no pressure or urge to feed the baby even after 5-6 hours sometimes. : (

All these things made me feel worry and guilty too. All sugesstions/opinions are welcomed!!

my abby is 7 months old. I am feeling the same way as you are. Earlier I used to feel heavy if my milk was not out . Now, I think as the babies get older and start taking solids, our milk production reduces during that time. She is till on BM. Sometimes even I get this doubt and give her formula, she refuses it. My baby's schedule goes like this. Morning around 9:00 I give her cereal with formula, then after 3 hrs my milk, thne around 2 I give her raagi, then my milk, then gerber after that milk again and night 8 or 8:30 cereal. she goes back to sleep. i feed her 2 to 3 times during night, i.e, 11:00 , then 4:00 again 6:30 7:00, i am not sure abt these night timings. These days during daytime feeding I am giving her bottle, if i feel that my milk is not enough. But she doesn't show any interest at all. Most of the time I throw it. she shows very much interested in what we eat, literally bring her mouth to our mouth if she is in the hands while eating. am not sure, if i cleared ur doubt or not. let me know ur baby's activities.
