Name: Amy

My son is 3 and has had an imaginary friend for a long time now. He is an only child, but he is surrounded by tons of other kids. I was wondering, do you believe that there could be another explaination for imaginary friends? I mean, maybe they' re not so imaginary. My neice through marriage, who is 8 now, had one for a long time since she was 3. When my husband asked what his name was she said \" Charlie\" . When he told her dad, he about dropped. His favorite uncle' s name is Charlie, and he had passed. She even described him quite well. Now, I don' t believe in all this paranormal stuff, but it is something to think about right? Or could that have been a coincidence? And now that my son is 3 and still has this \" friend\" I' m still kind of questioning it. Help!!! Thanks, Amy.

Hi

My name is Aira Planting and I work within the development department at North One Television in London. North One Television is one of Britain' s leading independent television production companies, with a production slate that includes major sport, entertainment and factual programmes.

We’ve been asked by a major UK broadcaster to make a programme about imaginary friends. The programme will aim to educate, highlight and create a wider understanding for parents and children with imaginary friends.

I came across this website, and thought I' d see if, first of all, you were based in the UK, and secondly, if you would be interested in speaking to me about your child' s imaginary friend. I' d love to arrange a phone call with you just in order to further my research – no commitment to the documentary what so ever.

If you’d be interested in speaking to me, please drop me an email or call 0207 502 5673

I hope to hear from you soon,

Aira
