have any of you dialated?? iam in my 38th week and my docotr till now hasnt checked me for dialtion.. was wondering if any of you have been checked for dialtion....

My doc started to check dilation from 36th week. With my 37th week visit ( last week), he told me my cervix is thinning, but dilation has not started yet. He says for first time moms, dilation will start any where between 36-40 weeks.
Since you're so close tto you d day now, I expect your cervix will start to dilate very soon. If not don't worry...
take plenty of rest and don't forget to walk.

Sree Alpana replied. Today I completed 39 weeks. My doctor checked me for dialation in my last visit. She told me that my cervix is thinning out and the dialation has begun but is finger-tip i.e. barely 1 cm.
Doctors generally check for dialation after the 38th week. Again it differs from doctor to doctor.
How are you doing otherwise?? I'm doing fine and anxiously waiting for the D-day.
