try these :
1.go 100% cotton or 98% cotton,,,try for the clothes that has more of cottons, avoid wools or acrylic or fur..go for the soft fur/suedes that does not have the hairy or lint catching surface !

3.the recovery time depnds on type of illness, recovery rate of baby,dosage time & amt, finally also whther or not the dosage is given on time without ne delay and also if the dosage is right for the illness !
mostly kids below 1 year are expected to see the dr after 1 day of observation at home about the symptoms,or earlier dpending on the severity,,and if rushed to dr on time, they are expected to recover out of actual illness within 5 days atleast to the point of 10-50% recovery,,,if not,,your dr should be able to judge the other prob that might be delayng the recovery ! or change the medication or dosage.

a baby sensitive to allergies have nothin to do with low recovery rate ! please note..there are many factors esp when it comes to allergies, and recovery,,that keep influencng thru out the recovery and dosage..esp if baby is having issues like water eyes,runny nose, skin rashes, or cold,cough,,,all these trigger pretty much often for very routine allergens,,,,that might be just presnt in your home and its hard to catch them !
so please take a look at the above link and see if it helps.
also, would like you to strongly suggest that please get your baby checked by allergy dr and also skin dr(dermatologist),,as your baby is having issues related to cold,coughs as well skin...let the drs perform allergy tests and you will know the exact cause of the whole prob going on with your baby !

i will first try all the tips mentioned in links. i hope the allergy and rashes is not because of any other reason.

how long can i expect recovery and how long you think i should keep trying these tips and tricks.i know i shuldn't be asking this type of ques. but if these don't work then only i will consult a good skin and allergy doc like you said.so please tell me when should i consult the doc.i am afraid to see these docs. they give so many medicines :(
