Does anyone know a good speech language patholigist in Delhi. I have an 18 month old baby boy who just wont talk. I know he can hear clearly ,he follows short commands but I will get an official hearing test anyway to be sure. His pediatrician is not woried yet but i have seen babies his age talking in full short sentences!!!
Im going mad everyday and sometimes i think he is mute even though he bables and tries to copy some words that i say.

If he is copying you than he can surely speak and if he follows directions then I assume he hears ok as well. At 18 months I don't feel he is exceptionally delayed... More often than not if children don't speak you often find that another child or adult does the talking for them so the need isnt as urgent if you get my meaning. I went through this with my second child and it isn't that hard to fix according to the speech therapist I saw. Start by trying to get him to repeat words... When you pass him a drink say DRINK and ask him to say it... Do this 3 times and any time he even remotely tries you praise him like he is the cleverest little boy in the world. When doing anything say the word clearly and ask your son to say it... Always ask and praise for any little attempt. My daughter wouldnt repeat anything initially but before long she started... If I brushed her hair I would show her the brush & say BRUSH or point to her hair and say HAIR... Things like this... Start with his fave toy, maybe it is a ball... Start with Ball... It is easy as can be and the more people you have around that are will to do the same will help also... All the best
Kate

Hi shalini,
i dont know any speech pathologist in delhi.
i just thot i'd write in to let you know that i sure your boy is perfectly fine.
My nephew who just turned 2 in Jan this year has just started with one word sentences like \";go\"; or \";come\"; abt one week back.
I know someone elses kid who started speaking at 3 (now thats really late), now they just cant get him to shut up!!!!
Each kid is different, also generally girls start talking sooner that boys (not always but in many cases).
I'm sure ur son will start as soon as he is ready.

Speech/language delay - 2.3 yr old boy
Hello Everyone

Our 28 months old boy is not speaking simple 2 or 3 word sentences yet. He speaks a few words such as mama, papa, aunty etc but definitely not more than 10. Also, he doesn't understand slightly longer sentences, even when we speak slowly and enact it such as "we'll go out after we eat". Otherwise, he appears perfectly normal. Shoranur kerala samajam Ayurveda hospital review
Hi All,

My son is less than 4 and has been diagnosed to be on the autism spectrum. He is non-verbal. We are taking him for OT and ABA/speech therapy.

Meanwhile, I read about an Ayurvedic hospital called Kerala Samajam hospital in Shoranur. Has anyone gone there for treatment? Any reviews?

Hints for Nursing
Babies eat and eat and eat. Although nature has done a pretty good job of providing you and your baby with the right equipment, in the beginning it's almost guaranteed to be harder than you expected. From sore nipples to tough latch-ons, nursing can seem overwhelming.
