Hi Ashwini,
You can get coconut water in Tesco(in fruit juice section). But ask doctor before it use.

I' d go with Saheli. The best way is to reduce the salt yu use in your cooking very gradually. When you are cooking( i assume you cook at your home),take out the usual qty of salt you' d add to a dish, stop short and add 3/4 of it for a week, then go to half, nobody notices the difference. There is LONA brand name salt which has less sodium, but I' m curious why do u want to replace sodium with magnesium inyour diet?
Usually sodium is required to be replaced with potassium which you can do easily by drinking fresh tender coconut water daily.it has high potassium, zero calories(well, almost)and competes with sodium in cellular osmosis and thus reduces sodium absorption in the body.
Raj.

Thanks raj.
Actually I am pregnant and now in UK. I have diabetes also. So doctor told me to cutdown salt from my daily food or replace sodium with Mg. It will help me to prevent other health problems. What u have suggested is good. I will definitely try for that. One thing is I can´ t get coconut water in UK (where I live). And your assumption is right...I am very good cook.
Well, thanks for your suggestion.

There are salts available in market which are low in sodium and are meant for BP patients etc. You can ask chemist. Please check with your doctor before consuming anything like that.

Best option is to slowly reduce salt from food. It really works, you wont even feel it. We had to do that for my MIL' s BP problem and now whole family' s salt consumption has reduced.

If you want to gain weight then you should not worry about it and eat 2 whole eggs everyday in any form like boiled or omelet. Too much of anything even if healthy, is not right and you should eat everything in limits. ... - Hardika [View Message]
