I would love to learn gardening, but my biggest and most terrible worries are my nails. I like to maintain hygiene and dirty nails are a no-no. The horrid dirt that gets collected underneath the nails really bothers me. Any Suggestions on how may I keep clean while gardening? please advise.

To prevent your nails from getting dirt, why don’t you use gloves? There are plastic gloves that come in the market. You could use them. You know even hair dressers use them when they dye hair. You could use those kinds too. Hope this helps…

Hey Ritika! Don’t worry. If you can’t wear gloves there is another remedy for you. Heh, Quit Gardening! Just kidding!! What you can do is run your finger nails on a wet soap bar so that the gap between your skin and nails get covered! Once that happens, dirt will not be able to enter your nail and later, when you wash your nails and use the nail brush, they will sparkle!!!

Thanks for taking the pains to answer my question. That is a great suggestion for most people but unfortunately, it won’t work for me. I am a bit allergic to wearing plastic gloves. But I really appreciate your advice.

Hi Sonia. I don’t think it matters much what type of planting pots you use as they all seem to grow plants. As per convenience you can use plastic pots outside the house so that they don’t break.
