Rachna, you are right!! Boys are very active. This is my first baby and I too wish for a girl. Specially my hubby wants a girl so I am sure next time he will ask Dr. whether its a boy/girl. You are experienced and its good so that I can get some advice from you. Do you feel baby move? I sometimes feel it but I am not sure its THAT or something else. I am in HK and alone with my hubby. My parents will be coming here in sep. Where are you ? What do u do? Keep in touch. - Sakhi

Dear Sakhi,

I too sometime feel the movement but is it not very pronounced as youve pointed out. It will be another month before you know for sure. We are based in Mumbai and Im a housewife cum office manager tomy husband who operates a business from SOHOsmall office home office. Keeping up with the work as well as my son, topped with my pregnancy now, is a Himalayan effort. However, my husband is sweet enough to take most of the workload away from me thesedays, still...
Youll soon realise motherhood can be both rewarding as well as a very frustrating experience. But at the end, when you weigh both scales, rewarding experience wins hands down! Just a smile from your kid can lift you to the top of the world and his attempts to talk his way out of a mischief, well you willhave to experience the joy of it first hand to know what Im talking about.
Rest allis fine at my end. Mumbai is very very humid at this time. Hows HK? What do you do there?
Look forward to hearing from you.

Dear Rachna, Good to hear from you. I know, being a housewife in India really have so many things to do that you cant find any time for urself. Nowadays, my hubby is taking extra care and I can never imagine him like this. I am working in computers. Job is not much of tension to me but it takes total 2 hrs for traveling in a day. I really get tired. On top of it, its getting hot and humid here. I am basically from Pune and really can not adjust to humidity. Because of this, I still get headache and vomitings sometimes even after 4 months. Actually I lost couple of kgs in my first 3 months because of nausea. Sometimes we both get very impatient and wants our baby to come next day, funny, isnt it!!! I am planning to go for pre-natal / childbirth classes since there is no one here to tell me how to go about labor. Still, I am very scared for THAT big day and more worried since my hubby will be with me in labor room and I am not sure if he can stand all that. - Sakhi

Dear Sakhi,

Sorry, I was a bit late in replying. You wrote that you still feel nauseating. The same is the case with me. In my first pregnancy, I did not have so many problems. This time my stomach aches sometimes and the doctor had asked me to take complete bed-rest. Now I am fine though.
Do you also have any other problem? Have you had a sonography done. In India, they do not reveal the sex of the baby. We are hoping for a daughter this time. What would you like- a son or a daughter? Rest everything is fine.
Best of luck, Rachna.  Top      Reply

Hi Rachna,

Every pregnancy is different so it you are getting nausea this time and not in ur previous pregnancy, its fine, try to eat small meals 4,5 times a day. In my case, now, the nausea is gone, I was having it till 4 and 1/2 months. Now, my lower back started paining. The book that I am reading, says after 4,5 months you should not sleep straight but should sleep on one side since it may reduce the oxygen supply to baby. I have started to go for walking and it gives me little comfort. Yes, My Dr. always do sonography whenever I visit once a month and she can tell me sex of the baby if we ask. But I am not going to ask for it, let it be surprise!!! My hubby wants a girl but for me, just a healthy baby no matter a boy or girl. I am taking vitamins and iron supplements, how about you? Have u started drinking milk? I really hate milk, I dont know how I am going to drink 3 glasses. Rest all ok, keep in touch.  Top      Reply

Well, I also feel tightness near my abdomen and little pain, but that does not last for long and goes in couple of seconds. If you are getting to more often, ask Dr. about it. I think it should be common because of expanding uterus. But you should check with Dr. for pelvic region pain. Take care - Sakhi
