my daughter is 12 1/2 months old she refuses to have milk from outside she only prefers breast milk can anybody help me by suggesting how to stop breastfeeding and how to encourage bottle feeds she doesn't like bottle feeds

I dont know if medically this is denied, but i hv seen my mother and oldies suggesting this -

to wean the baby from breastfeed, they used to apply some \" eatable\" on breast-nipples, that is not liked by the baby - something that is bitter/sour/khatta, like neem juice/raw mango juice/lime juice/etc. For stubborn babies, i hv also seen mothers trying hot (mirchi wala) things.

Just make sure the baby is not under risk - it is hygienic/baby wont get cold or stomach upset etc.

how do we know that baby is not under risk ?
please dnt risk your baby health with all these home remedies.my mother in law was after me to apply neem juice.my ped told me that this might cause irritation to baby tongue or stomach.there are easier ways for weaning.he told some tips but my baby didnt leave me.
ask hetal in breastfeeding or milestone board. she will give you a better answer. i weaned my baby at 14th month with her tips. you can also read her previous post about weaning from breast, bottle and starting sippy cup.may b you will get the answers there itself.they were really helpful to me.
weaning takes lots of patience so all the best to you.
