iam travelling to india with my 3years old son alone.its going to nearly21hours of flight travel. i 'm scared whether i could manage alone with my kid. now, he's fully into formula as i'm not secreting enough milk. please tell me what r the things i should take for his flight travel and also for his stay in indai for 1month. iam bit concern about climate in india .is that ok for my kid?any travelling tips and any one faced this prob plz suggest me

though the age of baby is more than yours,,if you are taking formula,,taking alongwith you powder formula is the best,,boiled water is pref but in airlines these days i heard,,that they dont allow ne liquids or water,,, so you might want to ask the airhostess 30mins prior to your baby feeding time,,,because i read the feedbacks saying that they bring it really hot temp water or late and by that time baby is hysterical out of hunger,,,
so calculate those delays...

best is to call your airlines about the latest list of things allowed in hand/cabin baggage..

i would suggest you to take babycarrier/baby sling with you so that you remain handsfree and comfortable thru out your travel by flight and also in india whnever your baby is sleeping and plus thing is he will be always attached to you which makes both mom and baby calm !!!!!

I wd second Minka's and Smiley's suggestions. Be careful about hygiene in India, avoid giving him milk here. You can give home made food (i m assuming a 3 yr old will eat a normal meal). I dont prefer readymade foods since they contain preservatives, but if u plan to travel in india then i wd suggest u get some readymades to india, or things that can be mixed in water and given.

If your baby is 3m, then carry the formula packs and some water that u mix with it. Gradually start training him with mineral water such that by the time u r in india the kid is set with the mineral water.

Please call your airlines ahead of time and check what they will allow on board as food for the child. Even better, go ahead and order a toddler meal for your son even if you don't plan to give him airline food - this is just in case. Airlines security has increased and they are increasingly paranoid about carrying even hot water and baby food.So make sure if you are carrying formula, it's in pre-sealed packaged sngle servbing sizes ( not loose powder ) and take biscuits ( sealed in original package ) and home packed food.Sometimes, I've heard airlines saying they will provide hot water , sugar etc on flight for child.so you may be asked to part with the ones you carry.

so please check ahead of time and be prepared. Smiley replied. Hi,
It is safe to be in India if you take precautions.Do use only mineral water or boiled water.Dont eat outside food.And wash hands whenever you r back from public places.Regarding travel take his fav food some toys,crayons,markers,few papers for him to draw.Keep him engaged .It will be fine.Hope this helps.
