Due Date Club March 2009:3rd & final function - Baikekol

Hi All,

I had my 7th month function on last Sunday, we Konkani' s call it as Baikekol. Kinda early as I had just entered my 27th week, but it the only good day this month apparently. The function went well and was held jointly by my Mom & MIL. Now I can stay at my mother' s place anytime :) But I plan to move in only in the 9th month as I am still working and it will be inconvenient for my hubby to pick me up & drop me to my mother' s place from work everyday.

I have my doctor' s appointment tomo. I am guessing she will ask me to take a blood test shortly. I am suffering from severe exhaustion this week. Not sure whether it is because of all the stress from planning & during the function or something that just happens in the third trimester. I am hoping to find out tomo :)

All of you, do keep us posted about your baby shower! Take care.

Hi Sunshine,

Nice to hear about your 7th month function! It' s been really fun knowing about all the colorful functions you have celebrated during your pregnancy :) I am doing well.. feeling the heaviness of the last tri... I best second tri was the best :)

Take adequate rest and all the best for your blood test.

Cheers!
Bhav

It truly has been a colourful experience for me :)

I met my doctor over the weekend. She says the exhaustion could be coz of the strain during the 7th month function. She has asked me to take lotsa rest. For leg cramps, she suggested I take more liquids, juices etc. and as I was guessing, she asked me to do the Glucose Tolerance Test tomo along with some other blood tests, as both my mom and nani have diabetes. So I need to be at the clinic by 7am and they will draw blood test sample 4 times (once every hour) before letting me go home! sounds scary!

I agree with you that the second trimester was the best. Take care and keep in touch!

Hi Sonia,

Hope you have loads of fun at your Seemantham. Even I had to hold my function on a Sunday as I wasn´ t getting leave.

Do try not to strain yourself too much. For a whole week after the function, I would goto sleep the moment I reached home & wake up only for dinner. I used to be so exhausted!

Anyways. Take care and have fun :)

Never take Relicord - pathetic customer care
Hi All,

According to my experience with Relicord, I will never recommend any one to go with Relicord. It' s being 1.5 years now, I am paying the EMIs, but I had enough trouble with them.

Lifecell is the best
yes Life cell is the best, when ourbabygirl was due in Feb 2011 we shortlisted Lifecell after meeting Cyrobanks, Relicord, Babycord etc. Cyrobanks are thugs they promise you the moon and also there is no indian hand in this company so we can' t rely on them at all. Relicord is good but the offers have so much marketing gimmicks. Other players lacks either the technical inf... - CK [View Message]

Avoid Beena Jaysingh. We' ve got seriously burnt up by Dr. Beena Jaysingh of Apollo Bellandur. Dr Beena is highly unprofessional and always behind money. She is incompetent and doesn' t understand patient problems and needs. Whenever we went to her for my wife' s pregnancy she wrote all the available tests without even asking and thinking.

My personal experience with ReliCord is not good. My baby is now 9 months old and the contract is still not signed. I am following up since last 6 months.

Anybody has any idea what can be done in such a case.... - Ani [View Message]
