Hi All,

What are the chances of having a normal delivery after having had a c section i wonder?

I' m told that in the 33/34th week an informed guestimate (guess + estimate) can be made by my gynaec depanding upon some factors.

What are the chances - After a gap of 4 yrs, any advice/comments.

Hi,
I am expecting my sec on in March too. I was told the same as SK.They gave me an option but still they cant guarantee and say thee is no risk.. but yes, it is not impossible.. u can google about VBAC(Vaginal birth after a cessarean).Now a days it has become common to have the sec one as normal delivery.. I am not opting for it as I have gestational diabetis this time.

Hi Bhavna,

I am in same boat, my first was a C- section and I will be having my second scheduled C too....
But there lot of other issues with mine...like the insurance and doctor who does C after a c-section due to the risks invovled...but let me tell you my doc did say that I can try for a normal delivery (at last it depends on the situation at the time of delivery)...it is not impossible it is just that she does not do it. So yes it is possible...just tell you doc you want to try for normal delivery...she should work with you on that.

According to my experience with Relicord, I will never recommend any one to go with Relicord. It' s being 1.5 years now, I am paying the EMIs, but I had enough trouble with them.

yes Life cell is the best, when ourbabygirl was due in Feb 2011 we shortlisted Lifecell after meeting Cyrobanks, Relicord, Babycord etc. Cyrobanks are thugs they promise you the moon and also there is no indian hand in this company so we can' t rely on them at all. Avoid Beena Jaysingh. We' ve got seriously burnt up by Dr. Beena Jaysingh of Apollo Bellandur. Dr Beena is highly unprofessional and always behind money. She is incompetent and doesn' t understand patient problems and needs. Whenever we went to her for my wife' s pregnancy she wrote all the available tests without even asking and thinking.
