I celebrate Diwali by lighting diyas and drawing colourful designs of rangoli. When I was small I used to do abhyang snan but now days no one in my family actually takes the ritual bath. It is truly said that Diwali is the celebration of lights. We get time to spend with our family. Now days no one gets time to send Diwali greeting to their relatives who are staying far away or even to those who are staying near by. When I was small, my dad used to send greeting cards to all our relatives and acquaintances to wish them happy Diwali and prosperous New Year. The way people celebrate Diwali has changed over the years. Now people send e-cards instead of printed ones. Sending greetings is what I like the most about Diwali.
