Due Date Club October 2001:Physical Therapy

Hello Girls,

Yesterday i had my first visit with my therapist. She did some evaluation and told me to come next week to teach me some exercises. She hadn't provide me the belt but if i need it she would give me the address and phone number of places where i can get it. She lend me one belt just to wear it for some days. I wear that belt whenever i go for a walk. I think its really comfortable and i don't feel the pain in the groin or get backpain. Jyotsna, this belt is good for backpain.

Sakhi, Padmaja, Jyotsna thanks for the replies. This weepy girl(*Mom) felt happy reading those comments:)

I haven't started to feel the baby's big kick yet. I still feel like butterflies or flutter kind of movement and that too not often. My doctor says it will start vigorously only when i reach near to 30 weeks.

Sakhi, Breathlessness is common in the second trimester and it is normal. I do have breathlessness when i lay down in the bed. My doctor says this happens because uterus pushes up against the diaphram and it is difficult for the lungs to expand fully.

Jyotsna, i have the feeling that i am going to have a boy. There is no specific reason though. I have the chance to find out the sex of our baby at the end of this month eventhough i am ambivalent about it...lol I like to be in surprise.

Padmaja, We went to the toyserus and find many type of cribs/stroller. Have you decided which one to select or brand names of this items? We are also going to look at babiserus.

Keep in touch girls and take care you all!!

Your message really helped me, I have been having these sharp pains around the groin area and in the thigh joint for few days and I told my self pregnancy stretching. Now I called my OBGYN and scheduled an appointment for 18th so he can evaluate, probably send me to a therapist or suggest a support belt. Will let you know.
We decided on a century travel system as of now, you can go to amazon dot com and look for strollers and draw a comparison about what you are looking for and you can get loads of choices.
We wanted a light weight yet strong dual system(stroller/car seat) Happy shopping !

Sacroiliac Belt doesn't hurt the belly because you wear itlow on your hips so that it barely touches the tops of your thighs when sitting. Actually the purpose of this belt is to provide secure support and stabilization of the pelvis. My therapist says it also provide comfort on back. Its made of cloth and elastic. Nice to know that you are better now. Resume walking if you can. Walking (exercise) is also good for all this problem.

Take care!
