Hi Frnds,
I wud really appreciate if u culd pls tell me where to get the diet chart plan for diabetic patient as my FIL is diabetic,so i really want to know wht all he can have nd wht all to be avoided.

Well will be taking FIL to the dr but still i really wanted to know the diets that can be given to him.
Wud appreciate ur help.

Hey Uma, does he have type I or type II diabetes?????
I have a few people in my family (who live here) with diabetes...If I am not mistaken, one is insulin dependent and the other is not and the diets will be different for both..
does he have to take insulin shots every day??????

Hi Avi,
By the grace of God he don't take any insulin,rest will be taking him to the Doctor to chk how high is his sugar level,and since he was taking treatment in India and just came here last friday so we are monitoring his diets for 2-3 days,but still within these days i wud like to give him proper diet and since i simply don't know any abc of diabetis so thought of asking all of u as i know that i will surely get ample amount of diet advise from this board(am i right ?? )

However, for both types.. the key is keeping the amount of carbs and sugars in the diet to the minimum..
