Lactare will defenitely help to improve breast milk production. Also, make sure you take your iron and calcium supplements which you were using during pregnancy. Drink lots of liquids tender coconut water, salty lemonade (avoid if you have high bp), and buttermilk are all helpful in addition to lots of plain water. Methi leaves also help to increase milk production. It can be used in the same way as spinach. Garlic and shallots helps uterine contraction which normally occurs during breastfeeding. And most importantly there is only one sureshot way to increase breastmilk production. Breastfeed your baby! Allow her to nurse at your breast as long as she wants to and make sure you feed her at least every 3-4 hours.

Hello Radhika,

Use more garlic..it improves milk production.

At the same time, start using mother' Horlicks thrice a day and you can find \" Galact\" powder in any medical shop, start using this twice a day(with milk or warm water). If you try these, defenetly your milk production will be improved within 2 days.

Apart from these, you have to take enough food. You shouldn' t reduce the food intake..it reduces milk production.

Mother' s milk is best for your baby... don' t neglect.

Take care,
Jyothi.

I am not sure about India but in US fenugreek tablets are available. Also try using pump (every two hours) to increase your milk production.

Hi,
I' m not really sure whats the correct way of eating methi..but i did the following and it helped me incrase my breast milk-
Saok methi overnight and I made a paste with it with some spice, tamarind and salt- more like a chatni and had 1-2 spoons everyday with my meal
Also ate 6-7 pieces of garlic everymeal, heard that papaya and cabbage help in milk production..so made em also a part of my meal.
and keep feeding every 2-3 hours, cause the demand- supply logic works
and lastly and the most important..positive attitude that u will be able to do it..
hope this helps n wishing u all the best
